His recent publications include "Hong Kong's Business Cycle Synchronisation with Mainland China and the United States" (Quarterly Bulletin, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, September 2006); "Did China Crowd Out Foreign Direct Investment from her Developing East Asian Neighbors?", (in China and World Economy, forthcoming). He was also a co-author of The Global Economic Effect of Asian Currency Devaluations (Institute for International Economics, 1998). He has published many other scholarly articles in refereed journals on the Chinese economy, credit rating and rating agencies, and international trade and finance. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
