Paul Cantor

Paul Cantor is a professor of economics who lives in Norwalk. He is member of the Board of Governors of the York University in Toronto, Canada.

Until 2000, he was the first Executive Director of the Toronto International Leadership Centre, an initiative sponsored jointly by York University, the World Bank, and the Canadian Government. He served as Chair of the Lifelong Learning Task Force for the Ontario Premier’s Council on Economic Renewal, as a member of the Advisory Council of the Faculty of Commerce and Business of the University of British Columbia, and with World University Service of Canada. He has also served on the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Capital Markets Committee, as Chairman of the Lewis Perinbaum Award for International Development and on the boards of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Stratford Festival. He is currently Chair of the Public Sector Pension Investment Board and concurrently Senior Adviser at Bennett Jones LLP; and held previous positions as Chairman and CEO of National Trust Company, President and CEO of Confederation Life Insurance and President, Investment Bank, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.
